Heavenly Father,
We come before You with broken hearts, grieving the loss of a beautiful child. Lord, there are no words deep enough for this sorrow, but we trust that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. Your Word reminds us that You are “a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Father, we thank You for the precious life of this little one. Though her days on earth were far too few, her life was not small. She was known by You, loved by You, created in Your image, and held in Your hands from the very beginning. Your Word says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,” and we believe that You knew her fully, loved her completely, and now hold her eternally.
Lord Jesus, You said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” We entrust this precious child into Your loving arms, where there is no more pain, no more fear, no more suffering, and no more tears.
Father, we ask You now to comfort her family and all who loved her. Wrap them in Your peace that surpasses all understanding. When grief feels too heavy to carry, carry them. When questions have no answers, be their steady place. When memories bring both joy and pain, meet them with mercy.
Lord, heal the hearts of those still living and grieving. Surround them with people who will weep with them, sit with them, pray for them, and help bear this unbearable burden. Let them not feel alone. Remind them that even in the valley of the shadow of death, You are with them.
We ask for Your light to shine in this darkness. Give strength for today, hope for tomorrow, and grace for every moment in between. May this precious child’s life continue to bear witness to love, tenderness, and the sacredness of every life.
Father, until the day when You wipe away every tear and make all things new, hold this grieving family close. Let them feel Your presence, trust Your goodness, and rest in the promise that love in You is never lost.
