Today, I received the news that no one else filed to run for Madison Township Trustee in the General Election.

That means that come January, I will have the honor and responsibility of assuming the office of Madison Township Trustee.

This journey would not have been possible without the incredible support of my family, friends, volunteers, first responders, community members, and everyone who believed in the vision of a stronger Madison Township. Thank you to every person who knocked on doors, shared a post, put up a sign, cast a vote, offered advice, or simply encouraged me along the way.

Now, the real work begins.

Through teamwork, dedication, accountability, and a commitment to a clear plan, we are going to work together to make Madison Township stronger, safer, and better prepared for the future.

This office belongs to the people of Madison Township, and I look forward to working with our residents, employees, firefighters, community partners, and Township Board to move our community forward.

We ran on a commitment to leadership, readiness, and stability. Come January, it will be time to turn those commitments into action.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible. I am humbled by your trust, grateful for your support, and ready to get to work.

Together, we will build a bigger, better, and stronger Madison Township. The best is yet to come.

Set up and ready for the Madison Township Fire Department’s Freedom Festival and Car Show!

Tomorrow is the Madison Township Fire Department Freedom Festival, and I genuinely hope to see EVERYONE there enjoying the day and celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary.

That said, I also believe the public deserves to know the facts.

• The vendor application published on the Madison Township Fire Department website included “Political Organization” as an approved vendor category.
• Vendors applications were reviewed and approved on June 15.
• On June 25, after the Trustee became involved, that approval was revoked and vendors were told only “commercial style vendors/retail” would be allowed.
• After the denial, the vendor application was removed from the website.

It’s disappointing to learn that a political party and its candidate were denied the opportunity to have a booth at the Madison Township Freedom Festival.

What makes this especially concerning is that the candidate is also a current member of the township board and has questioned township financial decisions, appropriations, and spending (That’s him doing his job). Whether those issues are related to the denial or not, the situation creates an appearance that deserves transparency.

Community festivals are meant to bring people together and celebrate the freedoms we all enjoy, including the freedom to exchange ideas and engage in the political process. If commercial vendors, organizations, and other groups are welcome, political viewpoints should be treated fairly and consistently regardless of which party or candidate is involved.

Public trust depends not only on acting fairly but also on avoiding the appearance of favoritism or retaliation. The residents of Madison Township deserve a clear explanation of how booth decisions were made and whether the same standards were applied to every applicant.

Freedom isn’t just something we celebrate on the Fourth of July, it’s something we practice by ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity to participate.

I respectfully ask everyone who believes in fairness, transparency, and the spirit of our community to reach out to Madison Township Trustee Larry Ellis and encourage him to remove the restrictions and reverse the decision denying a political booth at the Madison Township Freedom Festival.

Tonight is not about one person.
Tonight is about a community that chose to stand up, speak out, and believe that positive change is possible for Madison Township.

First and foremost, I need to thank my family.
To my wife, my daughters, and everyone closest to me - thank you for putting up with the long days, late nights, missed time at home, constant phone calls, and the stress that comes with a campaign like this. None of this happens without your love, sacrifice, patience, and support. You carried me through this every single day, and I love you more than words can express.

To every firefighter, first responder, union organization, community leader, friend, neighbor, volunteer, and supporter who stood beside me - thank you.
Thank you to every person who shared a post, made a phone call, knocked on a door, put up a sign, had difficult conversations, donated your time, and believed in this campaign from the very beginning. Your support means everything to me, and I will never forget it.

To those who endorsed me publicly and privately - thank you for trusting me to lead and for believing in the vision we shared for our township’s future.

And most importantly, thank you to the people of Madison Township.
No matter who you voted for tonight, thank you for getting out and exercising your right and privilege to vote. That matters. Your voice matters. A strong community is built when people engage, participate, and care enough to show up.

Tonight, the work begins.

This campaign was never built on anger or division - it was built on a plan. A plan for responsible leadership. A plan to support our firefighters and township employees. A plan to prepare financially for the future while continuing to provide quality services for our residents and families. A plan focused on respect, accountability, and community.

I promise you this:
I will show up.
I will listen.
I will work hard every single day for this township and the people who call it home.

This victory does not belong to me alone - it belongs to every person who believed Madison Township deserved strong, calm, compassionate leadership and a better path forward for generations to come.
