Embark EMR Update: Major Bug Fixes and Exciting Improvements!
Hello Embark EMR Community,
Last month, we launched a completely rebuilt version of Embark EMR. While this new version brought exciting changes, it also introduced a variety of unforeseen bugs and issues, many resulting from unexpected data variations. Our team has worked tirelessly to address these challenges, and we’re thrilled to share the improvements with you. Here are the key updates and fixes:
1. Calendar Scheduling Improvements: Previously, the entire practice’s calendar loaded at once, making navigation difficult for group practices. Now, the calendar automatically filters to the logged-in provider, enhancing load times and simplifying usage. This makes scheduling faster and more intuitive.
2. Schedule Table Filtering: The schedule table offers an alternate view of appointments. Before, all appointments (including recurring ones through 2026!) were displayed, making navigation cumbersome. Now, the schedule is filtered by default to show appointments up to today's date. You can adjust this filter in the search bar to view future dates, providing a streamlined experience.
3. Billing Enhancements: We’ve overhauled the billing table to improve clarity and usability, with even more improvements in progress. This lays the groundwork for integrated payment processing, coming soon thanks to your valuable feedback.
4. Superbill Template Restoration: Generating PDFs for client superbills is back! Simply navigate to Billing -> Generate Superbill -> View Superbill for the relevant client. A "Download PDF" link at the top of the page allows for easy exporting.
5. Note PDF Generation: You can now generate PDFs for all note templates, including appointment notes, evaluations, progress/discharge notes, GFEs, and more. Click "Download PDF" next to the desired note template, preview the document, and select "Generate" at the top of the page.
6. Data Re-Migration: Some users missed notifications about the migration to the new platform, leading to missing records for entries made post-migration. We are re-migrating this data to ensure nothing is lost.
7. Email Restoration: We worked with AWS to restore email notifications, resolving issues with password reset emails. If you previously experienced difficulties receiving emails, this should now be fixed.
8. Client-to-Admin Correction: Some users were mistakenly classified as clients instead of providers during data migration, often due to test clients created with provider emails. We’ve identified and corrected these accounts. If you still notice discrepancies, please contact us.
9. Additional Fixes and Improvements: Numerous other behind-the-scenes adjustments have been made to enhance platform stability and performance.
We are actively addressing remaining issues and deeply appreciate your continued feedback, empathy, and support. Your insights have been invaluable in helping us refine Embark EMR and deliver the best possible experience.
Thank you for being part of the Embark EMR community! Please reach out if you encounter any further issues or have suggestions.
Warm regards,
Cory & the Embark EMR team
