It has been a big week for the White Township Board of Supervisors and staff!

Several members attended the Annual Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS) Conference in Hershey. This annual event brings together township officials, staff, and industry professionals from across the Commonwealth to share best practices, discuss emerging issues, and gain valuable insight into effective local governance.

Attendees participated in a variety of educational workshops and training sessions focused on municipal operations, infrastructure, public safety, and land development.

In recognition of Earth Day, the Supervisors also planted two flowering trees at the municipal building.

Pictured below are the attendees of the PSATS Conference following the annual Parade of Flags, along with the planting of the two trees at the municipal building.

Gillette Appointed to PSATS Standing Committee for Townships Over 10,000 Population

White Township is pleased to announce that Supervisor Sandi Gillette has been re-appointed to serve on the Committee on Townships Over 10,000 Population through the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS).

The Committee on Townships Over 10,000 Population is a standing committee of PSATS established to identify issues and challenges unique to larger townships, propose solutions through state and federal legislative initiatives, and facilitate the exchange of information, training, and technical assistance among member municipalities.

"Over the past year serving on the committee, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge. While issues may differ from one end of the commonwealth to the other, common sense and experience often help us address them effectively—especially when we work together."

Through her appointment, Gillette will work collaboratively with township leaders from across Pennsylvania to address policy matters affecting growing and developed communities. She will proudly serve the residents of White Township by advocating for their interests and ensuring their voices are represented at the state level.

White Township congratulates Supervisor Gillette on this appointment and looks forward to her continued leadership and service to the community.

🚑 White Township - Citizens’ Ambulance Service - 2026 Membership Update 🚑

In the best interest of White Township residents, the Board of Supervisors has contracted directly with Citizens’ Ambulance Service to purchase a 2026 membership for all White Township households. This agreement ensures every household receives Citizens’ membership benefits for the 2026 calendar year.

In recognition of the financial challenges Citizens’ faces due to uncertain cash flow, the Board determined that guaranteeing this one-time payment for 2026 would help maintain Citizens’ financial stability and allow them to continue serving as White Township’s primary ambulance provider.

Annual membership applications from Citizens’ Ambulance Service will be arriving in mailboxes this week. Residents are encouraged to read the enclosed letter, which explains recent changes to membership plans.

Please note:
• Households that did not subscribe in 2025 will not receive a mailed application
• All White Township households are considered enrolled for 2026

Residents who wish to further support Citizens’ Ambulance Service may make a tax-deductible donation by:

• Calling 724-349-5511
• Visiting 805 Hospital Road
• Visiting www.citizensambulance.org

Thank you for supporting emergency services in White Township.
