🎉 Today, the Indiana County Jail proudly recognizes the graduation of Basic Training Academy Class #006. 🎓

While this may have been a smaller academy class, it was one filled with heart, determination, and dedication. Over the past several weeks, these cadets demonstrated professionalism, discipline, and a commitment to the corrections profession through classroom instruction, hands-on practical training, physical challenges, and scenario-based exercises.

We are proud to recognize the graduates of Class #006: Cadets A. Lindley, D. Dagostino, and R. Ferringer.

Throughout the academy, many laughs were shared, friendships were formed, and strong bonds were built that will continue throughout their careers. Their hard work and perseverance led them to this accomplishment, and we could not be prouder of what they achieved together.

✨ We would also like to thank all academy instructors and staff who dedicated their time, knowledge, and experience to helping shape the next generation of corrections professionals.

👏Congratulations to Class #006 on completing the academy. We wish each of you continued success and safety throughout your careers.

National Corrections Officer Appreciation Week officially came to a close on May 9th, and the Indiana County Jail would like to once again recognize and thank all of our dedicated Corrections Officers and staff for their hard work, professionalism, and commitment each and every day.

To finish out the week, staff came together for a cookout at the jail, with our own Officer K. Brown stepping up to the grill and cooking for staff. It was a great way to close out the week and spend time together recognizing the teamwork and dedication shared throughout our facility.

Thank you to all Corrections Officers — both here at Indiana County Jail and across the country — for the sacrifices you make and the important role you serve every day.

This week, we proudly recognize National Corrections Officers Week and extend our deepest appreciation to the dedicated men and women of the Indiana County Jail, as well as corrections officers across the country.

Every day, our corrections officers step into a demanding and often unseen role with strength, professionalism, and unwavering commitment. They face challenges head-on, maintain order in difficult situations, and ensure the safety and security of our facilities and communities. Their work requires not only vigilance and discipline, but also compassion, patience, and sound judgment.

National Corrections Officers Week was first established in 1984 by President Ronald Reagan to formally recognize the vital role corrections professionals play in our criminal justice system. Since then, this week has served as an opportunity to highlight the important work performed behind the walls of correctional facilities across the nation.
We also want to take this time to recognize and thank all corrections officers nationwide. No matter the facility or assignment, your service plays a vital role in public safety and the justice system, and your dedication does not go unnoticed.

We are truly grateful for the sacrifices made, the long hours worked, and the pride taken in serving others. To all corrections officers—thank you for your service, your commitment, and everything you do each and every day.
