Stallings Fire Department has been serving the needs of our community since it was organized and incorporated on July 19th 1954 by Stallings residents E.E. Austin, Oliver Duckworth, Herbert W Fincher, G. Ira Broome, Carl Stallings and I.S. Noles.

**UPDATE**

The roadway is now back open.

Traffic Alert - Morningwood Drive is closed at Pleasant Plains Road due to a natural gas leak and fire. Matthews Fire & EMS, Charlotte Fire Department, Charlotte NC - Hazmat and Piedmont Natural Gas are on scene now. Please avoid the area and use an alternate route.

Station 20 responded to a large vehicle fire around 12:30 PM today just off Highway 74 in Stallings. Crews quickly established a water supply and brought the fire under control in a short amount of time. No injuries were reported.
