Chief Lucas has done it again! For the second year in a row we have received this prestigious award! Congrats to Mike and all our officers.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for our May meetings. Planning and Zoning is happening tonight. Monday, May 18th is the trustee workshop and Wednesday, May 20th the regular trustee meeting. As the agenda is published I will post the items here that are to be discussed.

The Village regular monthly meeting was Thursday night this month and we had the best turn out! Thank you to everyone who attended.

Topics on the agenda were the reforecast of the budget and the change to our interest rate on funds held at Branson Bank. Both passed unanimously.

Towards the end of each meeting it is opened for comments. It is an opportunity for staff to report on their activities, for trustees to discuss anything they have and for anyone attending to ask questions or make a statement. It was lively conversation last night and I encourage everyone to attend and be heard.

I made a suggestion we offer community chair yoga classes at the municipal building. I’ve heard some feedback about my suggestion and I want to address it directly.

Supporting small, low (or in this case free) cost ways to bring people together doesn’t mean we’re ignoring the bigger issues. In fact, we are actively working on them every day.
We are focused on keeping our budget balanced, being responsible with taxpayer dollars, and making sure we live within our means. We’re also exploring long-term solutions for our sewer system through grants and potential partnerships —because smart growth requires planning and collaboration.

It’s not either/or. We can take care of the essentials and create opportunities that improve quality of life for our residents.
Strong communities are built by handling the big responsibilities while still making room for connection, wellness, and shared spaces.

I’ll continue to advocate for both—because our village deserves it.

Come join us at the Village offices Tuesday evening at 5 pm for the swearing in of the new Trustees and appointment of officers for the coming year. Workshop to follow immediately after this special meeting.

New business on the agenda for the workshop is the May reforecast of the budget.

See you there!

⏰ Final few hours to vote — polls are closing soon!
If you haven’t voted yet, there is still time to make your voice heard. This election will shape the future of our village and the decisions that impact your daily life.
Every single vote matters — and this could come down to just a handful of votes.
If you believe in transparency, fiscal responsibility, and protecting residents from unnecessary taxes, I’m asking for your vote today.
Please take a few minutes right now to head to the polls — and remind a friend or neighbor to do the same.
Let’s finish strong.

Tomorrow is Election Day — April 7th.
This is your chance to have a direct say in the future of our village. The decisions made by your Village Trustee impact your daily life — from roads and infrastructure to how your tax dollars are spent.
Please take a moment tonight to make a plan to vote tomorrow. A quick trip to the polls can make a lasting difference.
I would truly appreciate your support.

Let’s be clear — this election matters.
The person you choose for Village Trustee will be making real decisions that impact your everyday life. Every ordinance vote affects your roads, your property, your local businesses, and how your tax dollars are used.
This isn’t just about filling a seat. It’s about the direction of our village.
I’ve been very clear about where I stand:
I believe in full transparency — you deserve to know what’s happening and why.
I believe in fiscal responsibility — spending should be careful, not careless.
And I firmly believe residents should not carry the burden of new taxes when we have other ways to fund our village.
Not every candidate sees it that way.
So before you vote, ask yourself — does your candidate truly align with your values? Because once elected, their vote becomes your voice.
If you want leadership that is open, responsible, and focused on protecting residents, I would be honored to have your support.
Election Day is almost here — make your vote count.

Thank you to everyone who came out, listened, and engaged over the past few days. I truly appreciate the conversations, the questions, and the opportunity to share where I stand.
One thing I hope stood out is this: the role of a Village Trustee matters more than many people realize. Every vote on an ordinance directly impacts our daily lives — from our roads and infrastructure, to public safety, to how our tax dollars are spent.
That’s why I’ve been clear about my priorities:
✔️ Transparency in decision-making
✔️ Fiscal responsibility
✔️ Protecting residents from unnecessary tax burdens
✔️ Thoughtful planning that keeps our village strong
At the end of the day, this election isn’t just about candidates — it’s about making sure your values are represented. I encourage everyone to take a moment, ask questions, and make sure the person you vote for truly aligns with what matters most to you and your family.
Thank you again for your support — I would be honored to earn your vote.
