Springfield Community Resources Launches Mini Grant Program to Empower Local Residents
Springfield, MA – 01/29/2026- Springfield Community Resources, a mutual aid nonprofit recently opened by Listening With Love, LLC, is dedicated to supporting Springfield residents. We are excited to announce the launch of its Mini Grant Program. This initiative provides small-scale financial assistance to individuals, families, and grassroots nonprofit groups, helping them meet urgent needs, launch community projects, and strengthen local resilience.
The Mini Grant Program grant, designed to support a wide range of purposes, including utility support, food security, youth projects, community events, and essential supplies. Applicants are invited to briefly describe their needs and how the funds will benefit themselves or their community. The program emphasizes simplicity for applicants while ensuring accountability and transparency for nonprofit. Grantees will also be required to attend some community building workshops to help spread the mutual aid message.
The launch of the Mini Grant Program is made possible thanks to a generous donation from Listening With Love, LLC, whose commitment to community care and equity has been foundational to the organization’s mission. In addition, a recent earmark from the Springfield State Delegation has provided crucial funding to expand the inaugural reach and impact of the program, ensuring that more residents can access timely support when they need it most.
“Springfield Community Resources believes in the power of mutual aid and community resilience,” said Zaida Govan, LICSW and owner of Listening With Love. “Our mini grants are intended to make a real difference for those facing urgent challenges or working to build a stronger, more connected Springfield. No one is coming to save us, we are all we have.”
