📣Monday School Enrichment November 9th📣
The Independence School District is introducing a revised Monday School structure for the 2026–2027 school year. These sessions will provide students with focused academic assistance and additional opportunities to complete required coursework. Monday School will be held at your student’s school from 9:00–11:00 a.m. on the following dates:
First Semester: October 12, November 9, and November 16
Second Semester: January 11, January 25, February 1, February 15, March 1, and March 15
If your student needs transportation for the November 9th Monday School session, you must notify Pioneer by calling 816-521-5385 no later than Friday, October 30th, and identify the neighborhood school your student will use for pickup and drop-off. Transportation requests received after the deadline may not be accommodated.
Transportation will be available for students who need it. Transportation will not follow traditional neighborhood bus routes or provide door-to-door service. Instead, the student or parent/guardian will be responsible for identifying the closest neighborhood school to serve as the student’s designated pickup and drop-off location. Families utilizing transportation will receive additional information regarding pickup and drop-off times.
Student support may include:
Credit recovery in English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
Tutoring and academic assistance
Support for students enrolled in virtual courses
Completion of assigned in-school suspension requirements
Breakfast will be provided to participating students.
Our goal is to make Monday School a purposeful opportunity for students to receive individualized support, strengthen essential skills, and make progress toward their academic goals.
