Kenton County Conservation District, Kentucky

Kenton County Conservation District, Kentucky KCCD works to develop locally driven solutions to protect natural resources in Kenton County.

KCCD meetings are held at 5 pm on the second Wednesday of each month. Kentucky Conservation Districts are governmental subdivisions of the state, organized under Kentucky Revised Statute 262. Conservation Districts are responsible for protecting our soil, water and other natural resources and are governed by the Kentucky Soil and Water Commission through the Kentucky Division of Conservation.

This Spring Peeper was holding on to some old farm debris during a recent clean up around the barn. We knew Morning View Heritage Area was popular among Spring Peepers, but had no idea they love stuffed animals too!🧸

🌱 363 iNaturalist observations were made in Kenton County

🌱 195 species were seen--most common being mayapple, ground-ivy, Philadelphia fleabane, and blue phlox!
