We’re excited to be part of the Kentucky Recreation and Parks Society (KRPS) District 5 Co****le Classic Fundraiser on Saturday, September 26, from 10 AM–4 PM at the brand-new Downs of Nicholson!

This fun-filled event brings parks and recreation professionals from across Northern Kentucky together for a day of co****le, competition, community, and a little friendly rivalry!

The event is a fundraiser supporting KRPS District 5, which includes 12 Northern Kentucky and surrounding counties and helps provide professional development, networking, and resources for parks and recreation professionals throughout the region.

We’re especially proud that this year’s event is being organized through a collaboration between Kenton County, the City of Independence, the City of Erlanger, and the City of Edgewood. It’s a great example of what we can accomplish when our communities work together!

🎯 Teams: 2 players
💰 Entry Fee: $50 per team
📅 Date: Saturday, September 26
⏰ Time: 10 AM–4 PM competition starts at 11 AM
📍 Location: Downs of Nicholson

Local businesses are also invited to get involved through lane sponsorships or community sponsorships!

We’re keeping the fun going a little longer! The Memorial Park Splash Pad will remain open through Sunday, September 27!

That means there’s still plenty of time to enjoy one more splash, play with the kids, and soak up those last days of summer!

Please note: The September 27 closing date is weather dependent. If we experience colder-than-normal temperatures, the splash pad may close earlier.

We’ll keep you posted if weather conditions require an earlier closing.
