Bridgette, Benefits Consultant, is celebrating her 20-year anniversary with MPR and that makes her our longest-tenured employee currently on staff. That is an extraordinary milestone and a true testament to the kind of person she is. Her dedication to our members and her expertise in employee benefits have made a real difference for the communities we serve.

Yesterday, MPR hosted a First Amendment Auditor, Sunshine Law & Social Media Considerations training, and we were thrilled with the turnout! With around 65 attendees joining us in person at the MPR campus and approximately 70 more joining virtually, it was a great day of learning.

A big thank you to Lindsey Kolisch of Lauber Municipal Law for an informative and engaging presentation. Our members walked away with practical guidance and real-world insight on topics that directly impact their work every day.

Shoutout to the MPR Risk Management team for putting together such a valuable session. Access to trainings like this is one of the many benefits of MPR membership.

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Independence, MO. This is a full-time, hybrid position with an outstanding benefits package including paid insurance, a generous retirement contribution, up to 7.5 weeks of PTO and sick time, 13 paid holidays, and an on-site gym and walking trail.

Two years and a master's degree. What a combination! 🎓 🎉

This past weekend, we celebrated Darin's two-year anniversary with MPR AND his graduation with a Master of Public Administration from Park University. Darin also holds a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Lincoln University and brings years of law enforcement experience to our team, including service as a police chief.

When the MPR risk management position opened up, Darin saw an opportunity to collaborate with administrators across Missouri and Kansas. We're so glad he did. Congratulations, Darin, on two incredible milestones!

It’s Missouri Local Government Week 💙

This week is all about recognizing the people who keep our communities running, often without a lot of fanfare.

From public works crews and law enforcement to administrative teams and leadership, it takes a lot of moving parts to serve a community well.

Today we’re celebrating Kirsten, MPR’s Senior Property & Casualty Underwriter, on 2 years with Midwest Public Risk! 🎉

Here are a couple things you might not know about her:

Kirsten didn’t start her insurance career in underwriting, but in subrogation as a subcontractor for USAA.
She also almost went to college in Rhode Island to earn a Bachelor of Science in Baking & Pastry Arts and open her own bakery, something we might all benefit from 😄 Now we’ll just be waiting on her to bring in some goodies!

We’re glad to have Kirsten as part of the MPR team and appreciate all she does to support our members.
