There's a unique opportunity to Volunteer with our partners Harvesters - The Community Food Network and get entrance to the The Kansas City Renaissance Festival

Event Description:
The Renaissance Festival is again offering Harvesters a great opportunity to collect food! The first three weekends (September 1-16), festival patrons who bring a donation of 5 canned goods will receive a voucher for buy one get one free admission. For the last weekend (September 29-30), festival patrons will receive 5 dollars off their admission with the donation of five canned food items. Volunteers will work 2 hour shifts collecting food and putting it in the Harvesters’ truck. Shifts are available between 9am and 5pm. Our volunteers receive FREE admittance to the festival on the day they volunteer! Volunteers age 6-15 are welcome with adult supervision.

We have a few openings for more volunteers to help with our day to day operations.

Here are what we need most:
- Transport crew(s): People who are able to pick up items from area business and bring the pantry for later distribution.

- Muscle: Carry and move boxes of product to restock the pantry on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This can be a physically demanding position but we take breaks and work together.

- Pantry helpers: There are many tasks, booking, sacking and over all go-to helper.

There's a new coffee shop in the neighborhood. They work with Community Services League and office spaces inside for meetings among great space to get coffee and enjoy your day. Welcome them to the neighborhood.
