Last Wednesday, we were excited to welcome Joseph VanderStel to Buchanan County for our Lunch & Learn, Present with Confidence.

Joseph brought in a packed room and shared practical strategies for overcoming stage fright, building confidence, and communicating ideas effectively. Through engaging discussion and hands-on exercises, attendees learned how to turn nervous energy into confidence and connect more authentically with their audience.

Whether presenting in meetings, teaching, or speaking in public, the session provided valuable tools that attendees can apply in both their professional and personal lives.

Planning to vend during RAGBRAI in Buchanan County? 🚲🍔

Join Black Hawk County Public Health on Tuesday, May 19 at 6:30 PM at the Buchanan County Fairgrounds 4H Building for a Food Safety Vendor Meeting.

This is a great opportunity for churches, nonprofits, community groups, and local organizations to learn proper food safety practices, licensing requirements, and the rules and regulations that help keep riders safe during RAGBRAI.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn the ins and outs of vending during one of Iowa’s biggest events.
