Mid-America Regional Council helps coordinate the regional 911 system. They have invested in geospatial routing which helps along the confusing 40 Highway corridor so your calls go to the right city.

In preparation for World Cup, they have added translation services for 911 calls to serve our many visitors.

I appreciate their regional work for our area!

It was a great day to celebrate with Community Services League for reaching the milestone of 2 MILLION POUNDS of collected trash !!

The City of Independence partnered with CSL because it helped us reach the goals of
1. Reduced roadside trash
2. Addressing homelessness with meaningful work and a path to housing.

It has the addred benefit of less trash showing up at our storm water treatment plant!

Thank you CSL for bringing such a great community partner.
