Today we are celebrating Dimitra's second CAPAversary! She's one of our incredible intern supervisors and brings so much heart to her work. It's easy to see how much she loves working with her interns, supporting and empowering them to foster growth and encourage reflection.

One of Dimitra's proudest moments has been watching interns grow in confidence and skill during their time at CAPACares. Knowing she plays a role in that process is something she holds close, and we are so glad she is part of the team. Happy CAPAversary, Dimitra!

What an incredible learning experience! Members of our clinical team recently attended the Kansas Association for Play Therapy Conference in Wichita, where they had the opportunity to learn from the legendary Dr. Eliana Gil.

Over two days, Dr. Gil led sessions on play therapy as an assessment tool and on post-traumatic play and supporting children who have experienced harm, equipping our team with new skills and interventions to bring back to our work at CAPACares.

"Post-traumatic play is a natural, reparative strategy." - Dr. Eliana Gil

We're so proud of our team and their love of learning!

Today, we're celebrating Brooke's 10th CAPAversary! Brooke's journey at CAPACares began as an intern in 2014 before she was hired as an intake specialist in 2016. "Within two years, I became a Therapist. It was my dream."

Along the way, she's completed Play Therapy, Theraplay, and TF-CBT training, and more, helped lead a Youth Coping Skills Group, and is working toward her Kansas licensure. Brooke is a light, a go-getter, a creative problem-solver, and someone who meets every client right where they are. She loves her work, and her clients and colleagues alike can feel it.

Here's to 10 years of showing up and making a difference. We're so glad you're here, Brooke!
