The Imperial County Fire Department is seeking motivated individuals seeking a career in the fire service for Reserve Firefighter positions.

The Reserve Firefighter works as part of a crew under the direction of a Fire Captain. Duties include but are not limited to: Fire Suppresion, EMS, Rescue, Wildland Firefighting, ARFF, Hazmat, Bomb, Prevention, and Public Relations.

Must be 18 years of age or older, with High School Diploma or GED, and valid California Class C Driver’s License.

Accredited Fire Academy Certification, and EMT- Basic Certification is Highly desirable.

👨🏻‍🎓👩🏽‍🚒SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY👨🏼‍🚒👩🏻‍🎓

The ICFA is proud to announce that our Fire Academy Scholarship is now open once again for 2 more local students!

The ICFA is looking for local Imperial County High School Senior and College students that are interested in pursuing a career in the fire service through Fire Academy education.

Applicants for our scholarship will be required to submit an application, and complete an essay with a required prompt.

All required documents will be reviewed, and 2 winners will be selected for a monetary award to be used towards Fire Academy tuition and/or supplies.
