🚨πŸ”₯ Red Flag Warning for Our Area Today πŸ”₯🚨

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for our communities along with surrounding areas. That means conditions are perfect for fires to start and spread FAST.

🌬️ Gusty winds
🌾 Dry grass and fields
β˜€οΈ Very low humidity

πŸ‘‰ Put it all together, and even a small spark could turn into a serious fire in minutes.

🚫 PLEASE – No outdoor burning today.
This includes burn piles, trash burning, and unattended fires.

πŸ“ž As always, we will be here if you need us!

Stay safe and help protect our community! πŸ’ͺπŸš’

Tonight at our annual meeting, Jason Wolfe, who has served our community as Chief for 10 years has stepped down from his position. He has chosen to take a step back to spend more time with his family. Jason intends to continue to serve our community as a fireman. His years of leadership has left our department in a great position for new leadership to continue to carry the torch. Please join us in thanking Jason for his 25+ years of service on the department and nearly half of those as Chief.

Randy McIntyre was a great firefighter and dear friend to our district. His impact reached well beyond our community. He will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the Andalusia Fire Protection District.

πŸ•ŠοΈ Honoring Randy McIntyre πŸ•ŠοΈ

QC Fire Wire joins the community in mourning the loss of Randy McIntyre, who passed away on July 27th.

Randy served the Andalusia Fire Protection District with dedication and heart for over 22 years, beginning his service in 2003. He was a true public servant β€” the kind of person who showed up, stood strong, and made a difference.

To the members of Andalusia Fire, we are deeply sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing Randy with the community all these years. His legacy of service will not be forgotten.

Rest easy, Randy. Your watch is complete. πŸš’πŸ™
