Help Us Support Our Community Through Mohawk Valley Gives

This year, we’re raising support for our basic needs programs in Herkimer County, including:

🥫 Food Pantry – Helping families keep food on the table.
🔥 Emergency Assistance – Helping with urgent needs like heat and utilities.
🏠 Housing Programs – Helping individuals and families find and maintain safe, stable housing.

For many of our neighbors, these programs are essential — providing food, warmth, and a safe place to live during difficult times.

Do you love plants but always for get to water. Join us for a fun family event, no water needed. Come create your own beautiful beaded plant, that gives you all the joy of a plant and none of the work and bringing's you the joy of creating it yourself. Bring your friends, your family, your self and your plant love and creativity to the Catholic Charities the DROP. We hope you join us for the Sprout and Sparkle event.

☀️ That’s a wrap on another amazing summer of FIT! ☀️

What a summer it has been! Our FIT youth had an incredible season filled with adventure, creativity, learning, laughter, and plenty of fun. We are so grateful for the opportunity to spend the summer making memories together! 💙

🏞️ We took a trip to Tupper Lake where we visited the amazing trolls at The Wild Center, kayaked, paddleboarded, and enjoyed some time on the water with pedal boats! 🚣‍♀️🛶

Closer to home, we walked the trails at the Utica Zoo, learned exercise warm-up routines, learned a choreographed dance routine, created LOTS of awesome crafts, and even squeezed in a movie at the theater before summer came to an end!

Most importantly, our youth had the chance to get outside, try new things, build friendships, learn new skills, and simply enjoy being kids.

We are incredibly thankful to everyone who helped make another successful FIT summer possible!

🌟 Rachael Case and the Herkimer County Youth Bureau — thank you for always supporting our group and helping ensure that funding is available so our youth can participate in this program and enjoy these experiences.

🥪 Herkimer Hannaford — thank you for your incredible generosity and abundance of food donations that helped keep our group well-fed all summer long!

🏢 CCHC Training Center — thank you for providing us with a wonderful space to hold activities and spend time together.

🙌 Our Runaway and Homeless Youth volunteers — thank you for giving your time, helping with events and activities, and making our summer even more special!

And, of course, a HUGE thank you to our amazing youth and parents for making this summer so much fun! We hope you had as much fun as we did. 💙
