👖 Join Us for Denim Day – April 29th 👖

On April 29th, we invite everyone to wear denim as a powerful statement of solidarity, awareness, and support.

Denim Day began in 1999 in response to an Italian court ruling that overturned a sexual assault conviction, arguing that the victim’s tight jeans implied consent. In protest, women in the Italian Parliament wore denim to stand against this harmful narrative—igniting a global movement that continues today.

Every April, people around the world wear denim to:
đź’™ Raise awareness about sexual violence
đź’™Challenge victim-blaming attitudes
đź’™ Advocate for justice
đź’™ Support survivors

Denim Day is more than just a clothing choice—it’s a symbol of resistance, unity, and commitment to change.

As a domestic violence program, we were there to share information, offer support, and connect with anyone experiencing—or questioning—unhealthy relationship dynamics. Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported in their relationships.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to talk, learn, and support one another. If you or someone you know needs help please call 315-866-0458. You are not alone.

Since 1981, National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) has challenged the Nation to confront and remove barriers to achieve justice for all victims of crime. During NCVRW, we recognize the accomplishments of the victims’ rights movement and reflect on how far we have come.

Every April, The Office of Justice Programs, Office for Victims of Crime, leads communities throughout the country in their annual observances of NCVRW. In 2026, we will observe NCVRW on April 19–25, with the theme—

Listen. Act. Advocate.
Protect victims, serve communities.

Domestic Violence is a CRIME.

If you or someone you know needs support, help is available.
