We had a wonderful time at our First Annual Ideal Clothing Drive! Thank you to Ideal Police Department’s Corporal Monique Lewis for putting this event together. This event would not have been possible without the incredible help & support of Miona Geriatric and Dementia Center, Mrs. Cathy Green (Administrator), her amazing staff, and all of the residents.

A special thank you to Ray Jones & his community at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist… Their Contributions & Participation was tremendous!

We truly appreciate everyone who attended and contributed. It is our hope that we were able to be a blessing to those in need and make a positive impact in our community.

On behalf of Acting Chief Hambrick, the Ideal Police Department extends our deepest condolences to the Gwinnett County Police Department as they mourn the tragic loss of Officer Tamang.

We are also praying for a full and speedy recovery for Officer Reed, who was injured in the ambush earlier today. Our thoughts and prayers are with both officers’ families, their fellow officers, and the entire Gwinnett County law enforcement community during this incredibly difficult time.

Please join us in keeping them lifted in prayer.

🚨Public Service Announcement🚨

On behalf of Acting Chief Hambrick, and The Ideal Police Department please keep the Warner Robins Police Department in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

This morning, a Warner Robins officer responding to a domestic violence call was ambushed and shot in the line of duty. The officer remains in critical condition at a local hospital, along with a female victim who was also shot during the incident.

The barricaded suspect has been taken into custody.

We ask the community to keep the injured officer, the victim, and their families in their thoughts and prayers for a full and speedy recovery.

A great time was had at the City of Ideal’s annual Christmas Parade and the Ideal Police Department’s Toy Drive—mission accomplished. This event was a true reflection of what can be accomplished when a community comes together in the spirit of giving.

The support and involvement from residents, volunteers, and local partners made the day a tremendous success. Seeing the joy and excitement on the faces of the children was truly priceless and served as a powerful reminder of the importance of community, compassion, and working together to make a difference.
