đź“Ť U.S. 24 in White County

U.S. 24 is closed between State Road 39 and West St during daytime hours for the next four days for seal coat operations. Be prepared to seek alternate routes.

Seal coat projects treat the pavement surface with liquid asphalt material covered by crushed stone to provide a new roadway surface and prevent future deterioration. Seal coating provides waterproofing, crack sealing and improved traction. The roadway will also be fog sealed, which is a light layer of asphalt over the stone to help lock it in and also reduce dust. More than 200 vehicles are expected to es**rt this powerful tribute into our community as it makes its way from the Grissom Huey Museum to the White County Fairgrounds. We invite you to line the route, wave your flags, hold your signs, and help us give our veterans the welcome home they deserve.

Our Assistant Chief Tim Marvin’s Son, Scottt Marvin, suffered a stroke in December of 2025 there is currently a raffle with with all proceeds going to Scott.
