A crowd of more than 100 people gathered at the Bonneville County Courthouse yesterday (Sept 12th) to remember Idaho’s missing. The event also marked 25 years since the disappearance of Amber Hoopes on September 14th, 2001. Guest speakers included Amber’s parents, Brent and Heavenlee Hoopes, and kidnapping survivor Megan Lenz, who spoke to the importance of never giving up hope for those still missing. Musical numbers and remarks from Bonneville County Sheriff Sam Hulse and Amber’s Aunt Audra Bergener rounded out the program.

Then Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the support of our community in times of loss. Our team wants to thank Audra and the entire Hoopes family for helping make this yearly recognition special and memorable.

If you have information about an unsolved case or missing person please contact the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at 208-529-1200 or report anonymously online at www.IFcrime.org .

We remember, 25 years ago, how terrorist attacks affected our country and our lives. We remember the patriotism and unity that followed. We will always remember the heroes who responded and gave their lives to save others. We will always remember and honor their sacrifice.
