A crowd of more than 100 people gathered at the Bonneville County Courthouse yesterday (Sept 12th) to remember Idaho’s missing. The event also marked 25 years since the disappearance of Amber Hoopes on September 14th, 2001. Guest speakers included Amber’s parents, Brent and Heavenlee Hoopes, and kidnapping survivor Megan Lenz, who spoke to the importance of never giving up hope for those still missing. Musical numbers and remarks from Bonneville County Sheriff Sam Hulse and Amber’s Aunt Audra Bergener rounded out the program.
Then Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the support of our community in times of loss. Our team wants to thank Audra and the entire Hoopes family for helping make this yearly recognition special and memorable.
