Nearly half of our community is working full-time and still forced to choose between rent, groceries, or childcare.

44% of Eastern Idaho households live in the gap known as ALICE: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These are hard-working families, teachers, and neighbors who earn too much to qualify for traditional assistance, but not enough to cover the basic cost of living.

Data shows us the size of the problem. People show us the soul. At United Way of Eastern Idaho, we use both so no one falls through the cracks, but we can’t do it without community support.

Last one of the summer. Cold Dark Wh***ey closes out the series THURSDAY at 6:30pm at The Waterfront at Snake River Landing. Gates open at 6:00pm.

Final community engagement project of the season: baby essentials. Diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, pacifiers, baby clothing.

Free admission, food trucks, local craft b**r, free books, free STEAM activity, and free Kids Fun Zone, one more Thursday on the Waterfront. Don’t miss it.
