Good Saturday morning, neighbors! Don't forget....our second annual Author Con starts at 10:00 here at the Idabel Public Library. Join Miss Julie in the Meeting Room to meet local authors, chat a bit with each of them about their experience as published writers, get an autographed copy of their books, and enjoy some light refreshments. It all starts in less than an hour, so come on down!

The Idabel Public Library has some wonderful programs coming up for the week of September 7 - 11. Please take note that all county libraries (Idabel, Broken Bow, and Valliant) will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day.
We especially want to stress that on Friday, September 11th, we will be marking the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and honoring all first responders by offering FREE donuts and coffee throughout the day. The donuts will be generously donated by Casey's of Idabel, so next time you're in there, tell Minerva and the staff thank you! And be sure to tell all first responders that you appreciate their continuing service.

We've said it many times, but it bears repeating....Wednesdays are our favorite day of the week because of Tykes Tales Storytime! The library is filled with laughter and learning, and even a few meltdowns here and there. Hey, we don't mind...it's all part of the learning process. There is nothing more precious than this, folks!

Our Second Annual Author Con is happening THIS SATURDAY from 10:00 AM–1:30 PM at the Idabel Public Library, and we’re ready to celebrate all things books, authors, and storytelling!

We already have FOUR local authors committed to joining us, with a few more checking their schedules to see if they can make it. 👀📚 You’ll have the chance to meet the people behind the pages, chat with them about their books, discover some new favorites, and maybe even find your next great read!

Whether you’re a voracious reader, an aspiring writer, a casual bookworm, or simply curious about our talented local authors, come on out and join the fun!

📚💜 Libraries Helping Libraries — It’s a Beautiful Thing! 💜📚

As a small library with limited funding, Winthrop Public Library is always looking for ways to add more resources for its patrons. So when we have books, DVDs, and audiobooks that we've weeded from our own shelves, we're more than happy to share them!

Needless to say, Susan was thrilled to take these “new-to-them” treasures back to her library and give them a second life in the hands of her patrons. 🥰📖🎬🎧

This is one of the things we love most about libraries: we don’t just serve our communities—we support each other, too.

Because when libraries help libraries, everyone wins! 💜

Join us for one of our newest programs, presented in collaboration with OSU Extension McCurtain County Family and Consumer Sciences/OHCE! Learn useful sewing skills like replacing a button, darning a sock, repairing a ripped seam, and more. All ages are welcome! 🧵✨

🎮 3:30 PM — Gaming Warriors
Tweens and teens, this one’s for you! Come hang out, play some Xbox or board games, and enjoy an afternoon of fun with friends. 🎮🎲
