🦖 What a dino-mite morning at Craft-Tech Connect! 🦖

Miss Julie's Beanie-saur workshop was a huge success, with a fantastic turnout and lots of creative energy. Participants transformed simple pieces of felt into adorable dinosaur friends of their very own!

The young crafters carefully cut out matching dinosaur shapes, learned basic sewing skills to stitch them together, stuffed them with dried beans, and finished them off with colorful details like faces, scales, and other unique designs. No two Beanie-saurs were alike!

From the first stitch to the final doodle, the room was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of dinosaur-sized fun. It was wonderful to see everyone's creativity come to life. We think it's safe to say the kids had a roaring good time! 🦕✨

But here’s the thing… libraries were the original data centers long before giant warehouses full of servers showed up. Libraries store humanity’s knowledge, preserve history, provide free access to information, teach digital literacy, connect communities, and help people find truth in a world overflowing with noise.

AI data centers process information. Libraries give it meaning.

One runs on electricity. The other runs on people, curiosity, and the belief that knowledge should belong to everyone.

Last Friday, Mark & Tami Daniel brought their Traveling Dinos to the Idabel Public Library. Their Dino Squad kept the kids entertained and excited. Our junior paleontologists were absolutely fascinated and amused. There were hands-on exhibits, stories, microscopes, magnifying glasses, and all manner of displays and info. A big shout-out to the Daniels for bringing us such a wonderful program!
