Tomorrow is Election Day and I want to encourage everyone to get out and vote. Voting is the only way to make sure your voice gets heard, whether it goes the way you vote or not, that’s the only way you can be heard.
First off I want to thank everyone for the time they have spent out of their day for me to talk to them. Campaigning is something that is really out of my comfort zone, but I loved meeting and talking to the people of our county and have had a blast campaigning for the last several months. I went into this campaign in a really different direction than my opponents, since I am employed by Miller Co. Road and Bridge, I have to take a different approach than to just bash the gravel roads in the county, I know the roads need work, I have some really good ideas that I know will work and not cost the taxpayers a bunch of money and I am excited to do those improvements. I also know that the commissioner position is so much more than just the roads. The southern half of the county has a little over 200 different roads and just a little over 350 miles of gravel roads that the south side has to maintain, that’s sometimes does become challenging but I am proud that we handle it really well with only 11 employees. If elected I have the experience and knowledge of the area because I have worked on all these roads over the last 7 years in one way or another, I will be able to fill in and help out when needed. I truly love our county, I am committed to doing everything in my power to make Miller Co a better place for our kids to grow up in. I would greatly appreciate your vote on Tuesday for the 2nd district commissioner and I will work hard for the citizens of our county.
