HOT & HUMID CONDITIONS EXPECTED FRIDAY

The US National Weather Service Burlington VT has issued a Heat Advisory for Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with heat index values expected to reach up to 95°F.

High temperatures combined with elevated humidity can increase the risk of heat-related illness. Please take precautions if you'll be spending time outdoors:

☀️ Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water
❄️ Seek air-conditioned spaces when possible
👕 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing
⏰ Limit strenuous outdoor activities to the early morning or evening hours
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Check in on family members, neighbors, and anyone who may be vulnerable to the heat

Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and take action immediately if symptoms develop.

Stay safe and stay cool!

Community Notice: Safety Drill at Eden Central School – May 29

On Friday, May 29th, Eden Central School will be conducting a planned safety drill in partnership with local emergency responders.

As part of this drill, community members may notice:

- Increased presence of school buses and emergency vehicles
- Students being transported to a nearby location

This is a SCHEDULED DRILL ONLY and not an emergency situation.

These exercises are an important part of ensuring that our schools and first responders are prepared to keep students safe and respond effectively in the event of an emergency.

We kindly ask community members to avoid calling the school or emergency services regarding this activity, as it is part of a coordinated training exercise.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep our community informed and prepared.

From glaciers and waterfalls to geothermal energy and Icelandic history, the Lamoille Union International Club experienced learning far beyond the classroom during their April break trip to Iceland!

Experiences like international travel help students grow as learners and individuals by building independence, curiosity, adaptability, and global understanding. These opportunities create lasting memories while preparing students to thrive in an increasingly connected world.

We can’t wait to see where the International Club travels next in 2028!
