Town of Hyde Park, Vermont Set in Northern Vermont, The Town of Hyde Park works for and with our residents of over 3,000 people. The Town upgraded its phone system in February of 2022.

We were not using the new phone system to its full potential. The automated attendant was updated in April 2024 so please listen carefully to the menu when calling in. When contacting the Town Office, our phone system will provide you with multiple options for reaching different departments. LVRT temporary closure week of 6/1 for a culvert replacement project. The LVRT will be closed from Needles Eye Rd in Morristown MP 49.85 (western side of bridge 456) to Depot Street MP 51.07. No formal detour available.

The Town of Hyde Park extends our deepest condolences to the Morristown Police Department, Officer Ron Audet’s family, friends, and loved ones following his unexpected passing.

The outpouring of heartfelt messages over the past day is a testament to the impact Ron had on Morristown, Lamoille County, the State of Vermont, and his country through his service. His dedication, compassion, and commitment to others touched countless lives and leave behind a legacy that will not be forgotten.

Today, we mourn the loss of Sergeant Ron Audet of the Morristown Police Department. He was not only a valued leader of our organization, but also of a devoted husband, a loving father, and grandfather. He dedicated his life to the service of his country and community.

Sergeant Audet exemplified the highest standards of leadership and professionalism, embodying what it truly means to be an exceptional police officer. He consistently inspired those around him to strive for excellence. Few worked harder, and few cared more deeply. He believed firmly in integrity, diligence, and unwavering dedication, never accepting shortcuts in the pursuit of service.

Our deepest condolences are extended to his family, our fellow officers and staff of the Morristown Police Department, and the entire Morristown Vermont community. His service, leadership, and lasting impact will never be forgotten.

The Town of Hyde Park is requesting sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide gravel crushing services at the Town Gravel Pit located at 262 McFarlane Hyde Park, Vermont.

The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, fuel, supervision, and materials necessary to crush and process gravel materials as specified herein.The Town intends to complete this work within a budget not to exceed $50,000.00.

Proposals are due by 4:00pm on 06/09/26

Town Clerk's Office Summer Hours & Holiday Closing

The Town Clerk's Office starts Summer hours Friday, May 22, 2026.
The hours will be Monday - Thursday, 7:30am to 4:00pm and Friday's 8:00am to 1:00pm.

Summer hours will go through Friday, September 4, 2026.

Also, the Town Clerk's Office will be CLOSED Monday, May 25th for the Memorial Day Holiday.

The Town of Hyde Park is currently seeking a local facility or property that could be used to temporarily house stray and lost dogs impounded by the Animal Control Officer.

We are looking for a space that can accommodate individual dogs, provide outdoor access, climate control, and accessibility for ACO operations. Properties with the ability to renovate or adapt existing space to meet these needs are also encouraged to reach out.

Ideally, the property owner or operator would also be willing to assist with the day-to-day care of animals during their stay.
