🇺🇸 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001�🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and countless individuals who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Twenty‑five years later, the memories of that day remain deeply felt. We reflect not only on the loss, but also on the unity, resilience, and compassion that emerged in its aftermath. The legacy of 9/11 lives on in the shared commitment to community, to service, and to supporting one another.

We honor all who were taken from us, all who responded with bravery, and all who continue to carry the weight of that day. May we continue to strive toward a world rooted in peace, understanding, and hope.

We will never forget.

2026 marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. As a community, we remember the lives lost and honor the courage of first responders and everyday heroes.

Several events are happening across the Town of Barnstable offering multiple ways to reflect and remember together this week — from moments of silence to community gatherings and memorial services. Details and times for each event are below.
