🥯 Bagels & Shmear for Our HES Staff!🥯

Our amazing HES Admin team treated our staff to a delicious bagel and shmear breakfast this morning! What a wonderful way to start the day and remind our staff just how appreciated and valued they are! 🧡

A little breakfast, a lot of smiles, and a whole lot of gratitude! Thank you to our HES Admin team for taking such great care of our HES family—and to Einstein Bros. Bagels for helping make it possible!

🔔 Celebrating Success and meeting grade level WIGs!! 🔔

Students in Kindergarten celebrated putting their bubblegum in the Beginning of the Year Bubblegum Machine for knowing all 26 letters and sounds! 🍬

We are SO proud of the hard work our students have put in already! Keep it up!

Our 5th Grade GT students dove headfirst into their new novel study, The Phantom Tollbooth! 🚗📖

Before traveling through the pages of this classic adventure, students unleashed their creativity by designing and creating their very own magical tollbooths and fantasy worlds! 🌈🔮🗺️

From imaginative destinations to clever details, our students transformed their ideas into something truly magical—using creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and a whole lot of imagination! 💡✨

We can’t wait to see where their learning takes them next as they journey through The Phantom Tollbooth! 🚪🚗💫

When students create, imagine, and wonder…learning becomes an adventure! ❤️📚

Students are encouraged to create original artwork honoring the service and sacrifice of our military members and their families. 🇺🇸

Kindergarten Students kicked off ABC Bootcamp this week!! Each week students will learn alphabet letters and sounds so they can become expert readers!! Students were so curious Monday morning wondering why the teachers were all wearing camouflage!! We were ready for Boot Camp!!

Mrs. Garcia’s 2nd graders are building and composing numbers using Base-10 blocks, turning abstract numbers into something they can see, touch, and understand!

Education truly takes a village—and HES has the BEST village! 💙🧡 This month we are recognizing a DOZEN staff members!

Our Guiding Coalition each selected one staff member to recognize for the month of August, highlighting the hard work, dedication, resilience, positivity, and heart they bring to Hutto Elementary every day. 👏🏼

We are so lucky to have a staff that shows up for our students, supports one another, and goes above and beyond to make HES a special place to learn and grow.

🚌📍Kindergartners were on the move!

This week our kindergartners had a fun-filled day learning about the locations of important places in their environment! With a little help from Pigeon from Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, they explored our school and discovered where all the important places are. 🐦🗺️

And of course, we had to finish our adventure back in the classroom with a special Bus Snack! 🚌🍪

Learning is always more fun when you can explore, discover, and enjoy a snack along the way! 💙
