🧡🦛 WHAT A WEEK at Cottonwood Creek! 🦛🧡
From teamwork to strong instruction to a little bit of FUN, our Hippos were busy this week!
🧹 One of our Assistant Principals, Ms. Payne, starts her morning off vacuuming — no shame around here! When we say One Team, One Direction, we mean it. We all jump in wherever we are needed!
🍽️ A HUGE thank you to our amazing PTA for feeding our teachers during Open House! It was a long day for our staff, and having dinner provided was such a thoughtful way to take care of them. We appreciate you!
🗣️ Mrs. Jeffers’ 3rd grade class is doing an awesome job implementing Turn & Learns and Kagan strategies, giving students opportunities to talk, collaborate, think, and learn from one another!
🦛 We had a very special Hippo roaming around Open House…and naturally, you HAVE to stop for a picture! 📸 Did you spot her?!
🧡 Mr. Gutierrez continues to go above and beyond to make his families feel welcomed and connected. Those relationships matter!
🫧 And speaking of Open House…the welcome bubbles were a HIT with students AND adults! Because you’re never too old for bubbles! 😍
🛒 Our Cottonwood Creek Cheer Cart made its way to teachers during PLC this week with a few goodies to keep everyone going. Sometimes, it really is the little things!
📊 Mrs. Tait and Ms. Herrera shared their Snapshot Sheet for next week with one another to give and receive feedback — collaborating, refining instruction, and planning intentionally for maximum student learning. THAT is what One Team looks like!
✈️🌎 And in Mrs. Goss’ class, students took math around the world! Students practiced adding and rounding using boarding passes to different countries. When district leaders stopped by to visit, they suddenly wanted to become 4th graders, too! 😂 What an engaging way to make rigorous learning memorable!
Every hallway, classroom, PLC, and interaction tells the story of what we are building together at Cottonwood Creek.
One Team. One Direction. Every Interaction. Every Day. 🧡🦛
