Hutsonville Park Custodian
The Hutsonville Park District is accepting bids for the position of Park Custodian. The custodian's position is that of an independent contractor providing care and maintenance to all park property. The position maybe filled by a single person or divided between two or more subcontractors.
Current annual salary is $9,600 dived into 12 monthly payments of $800. Park activities usually end November 30 and resume March 1. During the months of December January and February Custodian duties are reduced to periodic checks of the park and maintenance of equipment if not previously performed. The Park District provides all equipment and fuel. Additional work or activities needed or performed outside the scope of Park Custodian duties can be negotiated at a rate of $15 an hour.

Hutsonville Park Custodial Duties
1. Keep the park free of natural and manmade debris such as sticks, tree limbs, leaves, cans, bottles, and misc. trash.
2. Clear leaves in fall and as needed in the spring for park opening.
3. Mow entire grounds including ball diamonds, area north of park and boat ramp areas on a regular basis or as needed.
4. Trim around buildings, trees, fences and elsewhere as needed.
5. Maintain buildings through painting and other repairs.
6. Empty all trash receptacles on a regular basis.
7. Be responsible for shelter or other facilities reservations.
8. Repair or see to the repair of, and maintain equipment, playground equip. and buildings.
9. Keep restrooms clean and stocked.
10. Sweep and clean shelters, including washing tables as needed.
11. Replace light bulbs or light fixtures as needed.
12. Keep maintenance shed in clean and orderly fashion.
13. Be courteous to park visitors.
14. Maintain contact with local waste disposal company regarding pickup.
15. Conduct winterization for closing and needed work for spring opening.
16. Be price conscious when purchasing tools or supplies for park. No item in excess of $100 is to be purchased/charged without board approval, and no monthly purchase/charges totaling more than $300 to be incurred without board approval.
17. Bring to the attention of the board or trustee areas of concern or questions on maintenance or policies.
18. Make a written or verbal monthly report to the board to include, but not limited to hours worked, building repairs, the use of chemicals, vandalism, damage, or other information that may be of interest to the board.
19. Oversee the installation, removal and repair of boat dock. Maintain and oversee the boat ramp. This to include mowing, trimming, w**d control and mud removal.
20. Oversee and or put up Holiday decorations as directed by the board.
21. Other duties directly related to the park as may become needed or directed by the board.
