Burn restrictions for Saturday 3/28.

Starting on 3/28/2026 at 0600 hours, McLeod County will be under a burning ban until 8pm. No open burning will be allowed during this time. This does not include recreational fires. Weather conditions will be monitored, and restrictions may be extended if needed.

Thursday 11/13 and Friday 11/14 we will be out and about conducting some fall prescribed burns at various park and prairie lands. This is done to help reduce weeds and promote growth of natural vegetation.

We had the distinct pleasure of escorting the 9/11 memorial trailer into town today and helped them set up at the McLeod County Fairgrounds. It will be on display there for the duration of the fair so stop and visit this amazing traveling museum and tribute to 9/11.
