Hurricane Fire & Rescue responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a car that collided with an occupied building late this morning. Upon arrival, firefighters determined that there were no injuries resulting from the accident and all occupants within the building were safe and accounted for. It was determined that structural shoring would be necessary to secure the structure. Chief 801 made a special call for Rescue 89 and requested additional manpower from the Putnam Co Fire Department to provide assistance. Crews from both departments collaborated to construct shoring and secure the building in a safe manner. Units responding included Hurricane Chief 801, Engine 81, Rescue 89 (Technical Rescue), and Putnam County Engine 91.
