200 Years of Huron Agriculture!!!

Today, when people think about the Town of Huron, they think - apples! Yes, apples are now indeed the most prominent agricultural product Huron is known for. And that is something we should all be very proud of - with Wayne County being the third largest apple growing county in the nation, and Huron contributing a large share of those apples to that distinction. During the 19th and early 20th centuries, however, dairy, lumber, corn, beans, and other crops led the product harvest lists. Join us on September 12 for Huron Day, to look back on the agricultural story and take part in discussion about the agricultural products and practices of the past two centuries of our town.

Displays in History Center and both floors of the Grange Hall. 1 PM Community Conversations About Farming Over the Past 200 Years - with local farmers and community members. Join us! Informative and Entertaining!
