I have been attending meetings with the other candidates at least twice a week. We have learned that the information in the feasibility study was flawed and basically we are super broke. They have given us several options that we could choose to help make up the difference, which is substantial, most of which involves raising our taxes one way or another. I have been super vocal to the whole group opposing this. No one has to wonder where I stand! I will continue to take strong stances for what I belive in, even if it is unpopular. Our public works is going to take up the vast majority of our very limited budget. This just happens to be one of my strong points. I have 21+ years in public works plowing snow, maintaining roads, developing construction standards, issuing permits, inspecting projects, maintaining budgets, collecting and releasing bonds, working with developers and when needed taking a tough stance with those developers and contractors to make sure the city is left with a quality product. This and more is what I do every day. It’s what I know.

I am a sixth generation farmer and valley resident looking to use my 21+ years of municipal and public works experiance to protect and preserve this valleys rural charm. I have a great appreciation for the open spaces and agricultural aspects in this valley. When I think of what I love and hope for in this valley, never once has a view of rooftops came to mind.
I aim to keep development as limited and deliberate as possible to preserve what makes our community special, to maintain property rights, and to keep taxes as low as posible without sacrificing quality in our up and coming city.
