🥳Its birthday week so every day this week we will be sharing information about the 251st Army Birthday Celebration.
⭐️We are going to start things off with “Frequently Asked Questions”! If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, ask your question in the comments.
👉When is the event? The event is this Saturday, June 6, 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
📍Where is the event located? Redstone Gateway , located at 2100 Rideout Rd, Huntsville, AL 35808 (directly off Research Blvd, and outside of Gate 9).
🚗Where is parking? Public parking opens at 3:30 p.m. and it is in the Boeing Complex parking lots. Handicapped parking is closer to the venue, and there will be directional signage, along with Redstone Arsenal police to direct you. To park in handicapped, you must have a placard visible.
🆓Is this event free to attend? Yes! There is no admission or parking fees.
🌭Are there food and beverages available to purchase? Yes, The Tavern and Fiero located at Redstone Gateway will be open. In addition, there will be food trucks and vendors serving sweet treats on site like: Get Loaded, Rocket City Hibachi, popcorn, pizza, ice cream, sno cones, fresh squeezed lemonade, dirty sodas, gourmet apples, baked goods and more.
🎤Is there live music? Yes. The 313th Army Band will perform for the Cake Cutting Ceremony, and DJ Slim Robb as well as The Rock Mob (covering 80s & 90s) will be playing at scheduled times during the event.
🎂What time is the cake cutting ceremony? The official Cake Cutting Ceremony begins at 5p.m. We’ll have FREE Cookie Cake provided by Great American Cookies and Ice Cream provided by Blue Bell Ice Cream to distribute after the ceremony (while supplies last).
🎇What time is the Firework show? The firework finale is scheduled to begin at 8:45 p.m.
🐶Are dogs allowed? Yes, dogs are allowed at this event. We ask that all dogs be leashed. Dog owners are responsible for their dog’s behavior as well as cleaning up after them. The decision to allow dogs does not include those dogs that are on the Army installation prohibited or restricted breed list (to include any dog with a mix of such breeds) which includes: Pit Bull, American Staffordshire Bull Terrier, English Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, Doberman Pinscher, Chow Chow, and wolf hybrids.
As a reminder, there are fireworks at the conclusion of the event. If your pet does not respond well to loud noises, we ask that you please leave before the fireworks begin or keep your pets safe at home.
🏰What activities do you have for kids? There will be a kids zone with inflatable games, an obstacle course, rock wall, gaming truck, face painting, and more.
🚁Will there be Army displays? Yes, a Chinook and other Army Vehicles will be on display.
🛍️What time does the Craft Market open? 4:00 p.m.
🪑Can we bring our chairs? Yes, we recommend bringing chairs if you’d like to sit and watch the entertainment and fireworks.
