No student should go through the college admissions process alone.

In an upcoming episode of Sentinel Soundbytes, ASCTE College Counselor Sherri Crigger sits down with Landon '26 to discuss the importance of asking questions, using available resources, and keeping parents involved throughout the process.

Their conversation includes lessons learned, advice for future applicants, and practical ways students can build a strong support system as they prepare for college.

Excited to welcome Ai Huntsville to campus this week for a discussion on the future of artificial intelligence in education.

Emory, an ASCTE alumna who now serves on our Instructional Design Team, shared updates on the AI curriculum ASCTE is leading in schools across Alabama. This initiative is helping equip educators and students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate an increasingly AI-driven world.

As a leader in AI-focused education, we are proud to collaborate with partners across the state to expand innovative learning opportunities and prepare the next generation of talent.

Thank you to AI Huntsville for visiting campus and supporting this important work!

🎶 The Tri-M Music Honor Society recently visited Brookshire Nursing Healthcare Center in Huntsville to perform a service concert for residents, visitors, and staff.

After the concert, these Sentinels spent time visiting with residents, sharing conversations and getting to know them. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to use their talents to serve others while spending time with these special members of the community.

Our students were honored to share the afternoon with the residents and staff at Brookshire. 💙

Eighteen educators from 12 Alabama counties recently came together at ASCTE for a TEAMS two-day AI Immersion Workshop.

Teachers from math, science, computer science, and engineering classrooms explored how AI works through hands-on activities covering machine learning, decision trees, large language models, iterative prompting, and more.

Rather than simply learning about these concepts, participants spent the second day creating classroom activities they can use with their own students.

Led by ASCTE instructors, the workshop provided educators with practical experience and resources they can take back to schools across Alabama.

We're grateful to everyone who joined us and look forward to sharing future workshop opportunities soon. Stay tuned.

Today, we celebrated a major milestone in the construction of the Isenberg Research Institute.

Hank Isenberg, ASCTE faculty and staff, ASCTE Foundation board members, and the Brasfield & Gorrie team gathered to sign the final beam before it was placed atop the structure.

While this milestone marks the completion of the building's structural framework, it also represents the opportunities that will take place inside its walls. The Isenberg Research Institute will support collaboration between students, faculty, and industry partners as they work together on research, innovation, and real-world problem-solving.

We may have put the top on a building today, but with this incredible new facility, the sky is the limit.

🚀 Hands-on engineering in action!

With support from an AIAA Classroom Grant, Dr. Chris Brown and our Engineering 402 students tested a hybrid rocket motor and collected data using a new data acquisition system purchased through this year's grant.

Projects like this give students the opportunity to apply what they learn in the classroom while gaining experience with real engineering tools and processes.

Congratulations to Dr. Brown and our students for the recognition of their hard work and dedication.
