Wednesday, May 19, 1926-The Huntsville Daily Times-New Floors Being Put In Bank Building-The contractors have completed the relaying of the floors in the Tennessee Valley Bank Building that were rejected by the architect on account of cracks that developed after the cement had completely dried. Workmen were also engaged today in clearing the street about the building of refuse and bits of building material that have cluttered the space for some time. It is impossible to ascertain the truly imposing appearance of the structure until the cleaning up process has been completed and the plate glass on the first floor placed in position. Although there remains much to be done on the ground floor before the building is pronounced fully completed and ready for occupancy-it is expected that all work will be finished by June 1.
