Special Program Alert!

Join Monte Sano State Park in welcoming Park Naturalist Emeritus, Mike Ezell, for a one-of-a-kind guided hike! Mike is an incredible naturalist and each hike with him is a little different than the last. Native plants are his specialty, but there isn't much that Mike can't provide insight on when it comes to nature.

During this program, you will learn all about the interconnectivity of nature along with some native plants and animal species. So lace up your boots, grab some snacks and water, and hit the trail with us on June 13th starting at the Main Hiker's parking lot at 9AM.

Update: Due to potential thunderstorms, this program has been rescheduled to May 29! Thank you for understanding, and we will see those who registered next Friday!

Cawing all homeschool families (get it?)!

You will want to fly on up to Monte Sano State Park for our Junior Ornithologist Camp on May 22! Our past Ologist camps have been super fun and very successful, and typically sell out pretty quick!

The morning begins with an early bird hike as we search the trails for local species and listen for birdsong in the forest canopy. After the hike, participants will gather at the YACC Pavilion for bird-themed activities and nature exploration designed to inspire the next generation of conservationists.

Here is what to bring:
1. Binoculars, if you have any (We have plenty for the whole group if you need to borrow a pair)
2. Good hiking shoes/walking shoes
4. Plenty of water
5. Snacks and lunch to eat with your new friends after camp!

Extra cool points if you wear a bird-themed outfit or shirt!

Parental supervision is required. Trust us, you will have
a blast too.
