It’s Fire Prevention Week — Let’s “Charge into Fire Safety™!” 🔋

From October 6–12, 2025, we’re joining the national effort to raise awareness about safe charging and storage of lithium-ion batteries — the power source behind many of our favorite devices.

This year’s theme, “Charge into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home,” reminds us that safety starts with how we buy, charge, and handle these powerful batteries.

Here’s how to keep your home safe:

• BUY only listed, certified lithium-ion products.
• CHARGE devices safely — follow manufacturer instructions, never overload outlets, and avoid overnight charging.
• STORE batteries at room temperature and away from flammable materials.
• RECYCLE damaged, swollen, or old batteries responsibly — never throw them in the trash.

We had an unexpected guest outside the office today! He was alone and it was very cold, so we brought him in for warmth and some food. One of our technicians will be adopting this little cutie. ☺️

Celebrate by taking a few minutes to make sure your smoke detectors are present and functional!

Smoke detectors are critical to keeping you safe, especially as you sleep. 3/5 fatalities in house fires occur in homes with missing or nonfunctional detectors. Installing and maintaining them is very simple and could save your life!

NICET certification is preferred, but not required.
