South Huntsville Clean-Up Day is this Saturday, 30 April from 9am to Noon. Our neighborhood association (WECA) has decided to focus on beautifying/cleaning-up the front entrances of Whitesburg Estates. We need your help.

Meet by the Whitesburg Estates sign at 9:00 a.m. Bring w**d eaters, trimmers, shovels, whatever you think would help. We have gloves, trash bags, and "trash picker-up thingies".

If you can't help Saturday morning at the entrance area please focus on beautifying your own yard and the outside of your house: pick-up any trash, cut grass, edge, clean-up flower beds, clean-up curbs and gutters, repair broken fences, replace broken windows, plant flowers, clean-up front porch, etc. Also, the hazardous collection trailer will be parked at Grissom High School that morning. Old monitors, TV's, electronic devices, chemicals, paint, etc. can be dropped off.

Thanks for helping keep Whitesburg Estates a great place to live!

The first WECA meeting in 2016 will be on Tuesday, April 19th at 6:30 pm in the Hillwood Church Fellowship Hall. Special guest speaker will be the HPD South Precinct's Community Relationship Officer (CRO). Hope to see you there!

The next WECA meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct 27 at 6:30pm in the Hillwood Church fellowship hall. Dr. Jennie Robinson, City of Huntsville Councilwoman for District 3, will be our guest speaker.

This is something that Whitesburg Estates will need to monitor as it may impact feeder streets to/from the new bypass and our subdivision

Smith Engineering is studying the feasibility of turning Haysland Road, which currently dead ends at the Grissom site, into a major new north-south corridor between Memorial Parkway and the boundary of Redstone Arsenal.
