The Good Shepherd Mission serves those in need with Christ-like love and compassion —offering food, shelter, support, and spiritual and skills training to restore dignity, hope, and purpose. The Mission has a women's dorm, mom's room, men's dorm dad's room and more. People in crisis are desperate and their needs are more than physical. e over 1,700 people in one way or another – each month. Bargains and Blessings Thrift Store hours are 9-4 M-F, First Saturdays 10-2. Crisis/Emergencies handled as needed and resources available. This ministry is an extension of local churches for Walker County and folks traveling through. The GS Mission is Faith Based and receives no direct Federal Funding.
