MEMBER'S REACH OUT A HELPING HAND

A big thank you to Chris Johnson and his family, along with RJ Hanus for stepping up when a member need it. Our union brother Shannon was in a terrible accident leaving him temporary wheel chair bound. Without hesitation, these two jumped into action, and was able to get him a ramp built over the weekend!!

On behalf of the CWA Local 3905 Leaders...

Our Local, along with so many others across the nine states in our district came to a pivotal point in our time as a union. We had a choice to either settle, or fight for what was right. 20,000 Plus people chose to unite as one, and stand side by side in a sea of solidarity that the Company has not seen in THIRTY-SIX years.

Your Eboard couldn't be more proud and honored to serve such a hard working, dedicated, and strong membership. You stood together without pay, without even questioning it, and fought to make the Company get back to the bargaining table. You made new friends, and showed the community locally and nationally what a true grass roots movement looks like. Thank you all for sacrificing your time and livelihoods to fight this battle together.

The next Union meeting will be next Tuesday, on the third. We encourage everyone to attend. There will be tons of new information out, and if available, details on a possible TA. The Local will also provide dinner as a thank you for all you have done.

A special thank you to Ken Mckenzie for manning the grill for all of our members. Melissa Wallace-Bell, all the mobilizers, and strike captains, thank you. Everyone's hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed. Another special thank you to all the Mobility members that stopped and picketed and gave food. And to our retirees that stopped and picketed, dropped off food; we wouldn't be here without your fight before us.

In solidarity, your CWA Local 3905 Eboard

President - David Betz

Vice President - Frank Clark

Sec/Treasurer - Jason Jackson

Mobility Rep - Bryant Stone

Plant Rep - David Anderson

Wire Tech Rep - Chris Johnson

Jacob Morrison with the Huntsville IWW wrote up an excellent article regarding the ULP Strike...

Update: CWA leadership has decided to end the strike following AT&T’s willingness to come back to the table. There have been no concessions on either side at this moment, but because the strike was in response to bad faith bargaining practices, and not working conditions, …
