"Happy Thanksgiving, All!

Many know the holiday's origins as a feast between the Plymouth Rock settlers and the Wampanoag tribe, but prior to the 1860s, it was mostly celebrated regionally in New England.

Equally important to its history--it was under Abraham Lincoln that Thanksgiving first became a national holiday, to unite a nation scarred by the civil war in reflection of the things we have to be grateful for.

As your CO, I'm grateful for all the dedicated soldiers in this formation that every day make this unit the best in the Army Reserve!"

375 Summer'25 Update!:

This last couple of month's has been quite a busy time for the Knights of Steel! So busy we keep forgetting to update our FB page... (oops!)

June marked a major milestone for our Soldiers' training, as we conducted major site development of a local training area, demolished 5 underutilized buildings, and helped prepare over 40 acres of land for future construction on Redstone!

In July, we sadly bid goodbye to our beloved 1SG Giltner, but also welcomed the new leadership of 1SG Emery! Our local Family Readiness Group did a bang up job organizing a family day to mark the Change of Responsibility!

Closing out our Training Year this August drill, we focused heavily on building individual training plans to start off the new mission cycle stronger, faster, and better prepared than ever.

Thanks as always to our local community for the support you provide! 375 is proud to be THE Engineer Reserve force of the Rocket City!

Congratulations to former 375EVCC commander, CPT Suzzanne Conover on being chosen for the prestigious General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award!

CPT Conover competed with Captains across the whole of the Army Reserve, being selected for her embodiment of General MacArthur's ideals of Duty, Honor, and Country.

Well deserved, Ma'am! And congrats to all the winners!

Congratulations to 1SG Giltner for winning the Sergeant John Ordway award this year for the Army Reserve!

The Sergeant Ordway award honors the memory of John Ordway, the ranking NCO of the Lewis & Clark Expedition and recognizes first sergeants who, like Ordway, go above and beyond caring for their formations.

We couldn't think of anyone that describes better than 1SG Giltner. Thank you for your leadership, Top!

MG Scott Lynn, Deputy Army Surgeon General for Readiness, Mobilization, and Reserve Affairs presided as guest speaker.

Thanks to the Redstone-Huntsville AUSA Chapter and Redstone Arsenal Sergeants Major Association for sponsoring this award! And congratulations to MSG Antoine Echols (Active Duty) of Army Contracting Command and 1SG Chassidy Johnston (National Guard) of the 145th CBRN BN as well, for winning for their respective COMPOs!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from the 375!

We had a wonderful time meeting the families of our Soldiers during this year's holiday party!

A special thank you to MG Strand (Ret.)--former CG of the 412th Theater Engineer Command--for being our guest speaker! Your words on family readiness and personal preparedness resonated with many of us, Sir!

Please enjoy these pictures of our joes getting pie'd in the face as part of our annual fundraiser! πŸ₯§πŸ§πŸ˜‚

What a great Army weekend for the 375! We had the opportunity to welcome 6 soldiers into the NCO corps, had the honor of promoting one of our high-perfoming former soldiers to SSG, and to recognize our CDR's transition to CPT!

On top of all that, our horizontal engineers executed a real-world mission hauling dirt for Redstone Arsenal while the rest of the force refreshed their weapons handling/maintenance skills.

Scroll to the end to see an action shot of our youngest recruits throwing up on our CDR 🀣.

An Annual Training like no other! As part of the 467th Engineer Battalion, the Steel Knights of 375 had the opportunity to help in the construction of Camp Kamassa, a soon-to-be summer camp for children with special needs, located in the welcoming town of Crystal Springs, MS!

Thank you to the Mississippi's Toughest Kids Foundation and the Innovative Training Readiness (IRT) program for inviting us to participate. The soldiers relished the opportunity to exercise their skills while also doing some real good for a local community. We hope the kids enjoy staying in the camp as much as we enjoyed building it!
