Friends,
After a lot of prayer, long conversations with my family, and honest reflection, I’ve decided to withdraw from the 2026 State Senate race.
When I stepped into this race, I committed to giving it my all. In the fall of 2025, I made preparations for this campaign and the responsibility that could come with serving. I believed I could balance my family, my work, and a campaign. As time has gone on, it’s become clear that I wouldn’t be able to be the husband and father I strive to be. I have to be honest about what this would mean for my wife, my two young kids, and my work. The reality of where this is going weighs heavily on me.
This is one of the hardest decisions of my life, and it certainly wasn’t one I made lightly. I’m incredibly thankful for each of you who encouraged me, prayed for me, showed up at events, made phone calls, or donated your hard-earned money. Your support humbled and inspired me more than you know, and it’s something I will always be grateful for.
While I won’t be moving forward as a candidate this election, my commitment to our community and the conservative principles we share hasn’t changed. I still believe strongly in those values, and I look forward to continuing to serve in meaningful ways when the time is right for me and my family.
Thank you for your grace, your understanding, and your friendship. I’m truly thankful for every one of you.
