In the River Cities, 48% of households couldn’t make ends meet in 2024. That included 20% in poverty and another 28% that were ALICE, with income above the Federal Poverty Level but less than the cost of basics. That’s nearly half of all households in our community facing impossible choices — food or medicine, rent or child care.
Together, we can change the narrative and ensure that *all* households have better choices than this. Whether you give your time or your resources, you can make a difference by joining a Community Opportunity Task Force or donating to United Way of the River Cities: unitedwayrivercities.org/community-opportunity-plan
