The team from Bullseye Total Media arrived at our Huntington warehouse today and upon departure they had made an incredible impact in multiple ways in facing hunger alongside us. Team members from the Huntington-based advertising agency put forth a morning full of effort filling food boxes in our warehouse but their impact didn't stop there. The Bullseye team delivered an impressive 1,174 pounds of food to our organization for use in our battle to put a stop to hunger in our communities we are thankful to be able to serve. Thank you Bullseye Total Media for providing 978 meals to families in need this Holiday season. This is a true testament of neighbors helping neighbors. 🍽️

What a wonderful way to begin this Thanksgiving week 🦃

Board Member Elijah Underwood witnessed the incredible impact of generosity firsthand when a remarkable donation was delivered today! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the anonymous donor who provided 177 pounds of food, equivalent to 147 meals, bringing hope and nourishment to those at the center of our work, especially during the holiday season.

Today, and always…

Congratulations to our supporting partner Beltone Hearing Aid Center, which finished second out of 500 locations nationwide with 750 pounds of food collected during their food drive this Fall. We appreciate their recent monetary donation to support our work and applaud them for the 1,500 non-perishable food items they collected and provided to us to support our fight to end hunger in the communities we serve. WSAZ NewsChannel 3 took notice of their efforts and highlighted our partnership with Beltone Hearing Aid Center in a recent report.

The generosity of those wanting to lend a hand to a neighbor that needs it was on full display all day at the Cam Henderson Center on the campus of Marshall University. We thank Marshall University Athletics, Marshall University Women's Basketball & Marshall University Men's Basketball for hosting today’s food drive during today’s home basketball games. 👏🏻
It was a great doubleheader of basketball action that led to two Thundering Herd wins and the countless pounds of food donated throughout the day will be a major win for the families facing hunger it will benefit in the nearby communities we serve. 💚
In West Virginia, approximately 15.7% of households were food insecure in 2024, a rate that ranks second in the nation. 71,140 children are affected by food insecurity in West Virginia, which ranks first nationally.
We applaud the support today of those in attendance that donated food that will greatly benefit our organization and our efforts to end hunger. 🍽️❤️

We are thankful to Highmark Health for their hospitality yesterday & for recognizing our organization among the food banks participating in their new (un)Hungry initiative at the Pittsburgh Penguins home contest at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.🤝
This partnership comes just in time for the Holiday season when food and monetary donations are so needed to assist with so many families budgets being stretched so thin. Highmark Health’s previous support and their promotion of food banks like ours during this partnership is greatly valued.💙
We look forward to the (un)Hungry movement assisting us with connecting our neighbors most in need with fresh, healthy food. Every $1 donated to our organization results in nine meals for families in the communities we serve and contributes to our ability to distribute the right food to the right people at the right time. 🍎🥒🥔🍑

National Public Radio’s Tovia Smith released this report this week on the strain continuing to be felt by food banks like ours as a result of increased demand for the resources we offer. This reporting recently aired on NPR’s Morning Edition. Our Chief Executive Officer Cyndi Kirkhart was one of the many voices that is featured in this report. Read and listen here: https://www.npr.org/2025/11/19/nx-s1-5607236/food-banks-brace-for-prolonged-demand

Even as SNAP benefits are restored, food banks and pantries around the nation continue to feel the strain with no reprieve in sight.
