Boys & Girls Club of Huntington WV We are an after-school program with emphasis on: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Life Styles.

Who We Serve: 11 different elementary, middle and high schools with approximately 1000 children who pass through our doors each year. We have Two Locations: Guyandotte, and 14th Street West both within the Huntington West Virginia area. Our Focus: To provide tutoring, homework help, art, academic enrichment, and physical fitness to our children. Our Program: Two Clubs with at least 2 homework help

ers and a certified teacher to provide academic enrichment. Both Clubs have a gym, a computer lab with access to educational websites, pool tables, and caring responsible adults whose goal is to give the best after school care in the Huntington area. What to do to Join: To be eligible to be a member at the Boys and Girls Club of Huntington, you must be between the ages of 6 and 18 and currently enrolled in school. A registration form must be completed and a registration fee of only $10 covers enrollment in the program for an ENTIRE YEAR. How to Help: It is generous donations from hundreds of caring people in and around the Huntington community that make our program a success. The John W. Hereford Boys and Girls Club of Huntington has submitted an application for 21st Century Community Learning Center funding. We propose to serve students and families in Huntington. We look forward to community, school, and parent collaboration to be effective in supporting student academic success and well-being through a broad range of services including academic enrichment, STEM, life and workforce readiness, social-emotional well-being, nutrition, and physical activity, both during the school year and summer. We thank the leadership at the West Virginia Department of Education for investing in critical Out-of-School-Time services in West Virginia.
