Our Cooking with Love class is this Friday, and it’s sure to bring you cozy fall vibes that you can share at home 🍂🍁🍃

🍂Pumpkin spice is back, and it's giving us all the fall feels! We are so excited to announce our September Cooking with Love menu that gives all the cozy, fall vibes you're craving: Roasted Pumpkin Bisque, Butternut Squash Soup, and Apple Galette. Thanks to a generous grant from Parkview Huntington Hospital, everyone who attends this class will leave with the main ingredients to make these dishes at home. 🍎

All are welcome to this totally free class, but space is limited, so please call 260-356-0933 to register.

TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) is a federal program which helps supplement diets of people in our community by providing them with emergency food assistance at no cost. After a change for the summer months, TEFAP is available at United with Love again every Friday from 10 am to 1 pm! No appointment needed. We are glad to be able to serve neighbors again each Friday and are grateful for God's provision, the support of our community, and partnership with Community Harvest Food Bank - Fort Wayne to help make this possible!

United with Love's goal is to collect 60 gift cards to be put on gift card boards that will be raffled as part of the annual Gift Card Raffle Fundraiser to raise funds to support the ministries of United with Love as we serve our neighbors with compassion and dignity. We have currently collected 7 gift cards of the 60 total needed to reach our goal. Please consider donating a $25 gift card to United with Love by September 21st dropped off to the food pantry receptionist to help serve our community well. DONATE A GIFT CARD TO ANYWHERE! United with Love is collecting $25 gift cards for the annual Gift Card Raffle Fundraiser! Thank you for considering participating in the Gift Card Raffle Fundraiser to benefit United with Love and our neighbors. We desire to serve our neighbors with compassion and dignity and with the best possible services and goods we are able to offer while walking alongside them on their journeys. We are grateful for the many ways God graciously meets the needs of those in our community and are excited to offer this unique fundraising opportunity to come together to help provide for our neighbors. Our goal is to raise $5,000 through the gift card raffle fundraiser this year to help meet needs in our community! We hope to have at least 20 gift cards on each gift card board so that the winners of the gift card raffle will receive at least $500 in gift cards!

Ways you can support United with Love via the Gift Card Raffle Fundraiser:
*Donate a $25 gift card by September 21, 2026 dropped off to the food pantry receptionist.
*Purchase gift card raffle tickets once available beginning on September 28, 2026. Tickets will be 1 for $3 or 10 for $20 on sale through October 19, 2026.
*Share the photos of the gift card boards via text or social media once they are available on September 28, 2026 to spread the word about this fundraiser.

The cereal shelves in the community food pantry are bare! If you are able to add a couple of boxes of cereal to your cart the next time you are shopping and drop them off to donate at United with Love, our neighbors would greatly appreciate it. (Large-size boxes of Frosted Flakes are on sale at Kroger right now for $2.50 or less!!)

Receiving cereal when neighbors come for food pantry appointments is certainly a blessing. God works through our small acts of generosity, and He is faithful to provide. We have seen time and time again that our community is amazing at caring well for one another. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" Philippians 4:19.

Thank you for considering helping us stock the food pantry cereal shelves. The food pantry is open today until 5 pm or Friday from 9 am-1 pm and will be back open again at 9 am on Monday.

~GOD IS OUR SHIELD ~ September Prayer Gathering - Pray with us! “But you, O LORD, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high” Psalm 3:3.

Join on Tuesday, September 8th, in the food pantry community kitchen (715 Byron Street) at noon to pray! You don't need to be comfortable praying out loud. We'll have a prayer guide to follow and are glad to have you praying silently along with us as we praise God for being our SHIELD and seek His guidance. We are grateful to serve a God who hears the prayers of our hearts. Thank you for supporting the ministry of United with Love through prayer!
